The COVID-19 outbreak continues to rock the pro-wrestling industry.
Today All Japan Pro Wrestling announced the cancellation of their annual Champion Carnival tournament due to the viral pandemic. It was scheduled to begin on April 6th and conclude in early May. Company president Tsuyoki Fukuda said this in today’s press conference:
It [Champion Carnival] is a major event that has a long history in the japanese pro-wrestling world, so I would like to make every possible effort to hold it this year.
Despite trying everything, we regret to inform you this years Champion Carnival has been cancelled due to the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile the Joshi promotion STARDOM, who had been attempting to start shows up again issued a short press statement on Twitter announcing that several events in April have been canceled. Details are below.

4/25 (Sat) Osaka World Pavillion (noon)
4/25 (Sat) Osaka World Pavillion (night)
