As noted, WWE began a new storyline with Liv Morgan on this week’s SmackDown episode. Liv spoke out during Shane McMahon’s Town Hall Meeting and that led to a singles match loss to the returning Charlotte Flair. After the loss, Morgan got emotional and said she will “be real” when she comes back.
There’s no word yet on how long WWE plans to keep Morgan away from TV to sell the return, but The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that they do have new plans in mind for the former member of The Riott Squad.
It was noted that the loss to Flair and the post-match promo is to lead to a new character and a new look for Morgan.
