WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page recently spoke with Talk Sport’s Alex McCarthy to discuss all the happening’s in the pro-wrestling industry. While the full interview has yet to be released, McCarthy reveals on Twitter that DDP told him he can no longer work with WWE because he helped out Cody Rhodes from the rival promotion AEW. DDP apparently responded by saying that Dusty Rhodes helped him get started with his career so it was a “no brainer” for him.

He says without Dusty Rhodes there is no DDP, so it was a no brainer for him.

DDP first appeared at the self-funded ALL IN pay per view to help Rhodes in his match against Nick Aldis for the NWA heavyweight title. DDP later made his debut for AEW at their inaugural Double or Nothing event in Las Vegas. He would later wrestle a bout on their weekly episodic Dynamite.
