Eric Bischoff On Hiring Sid In 1999, Whether He Told Arn Anderson Before

During a recent episode of “83 Weeks”, Eric Bischoff discussed whose decision it was to bring Sid back to WCW in 1999 and whether Arn Anderson was consulted with prior to the hiring. Here’s what he had to say:

That would have been me. I mean, it would have been my responsibility, I guess, to talk to Arn. I don’t know if I did or I didn’t, to be honest about it. I talked to Sid. Look, when that incident now — we’re going back to a different time here, but when that incident went down, Arn … I should have fired both of them, absolutely. And I didn’t. But again, once it was over, it was over.”

I didn’t talk to Arn that I can recall. I may have said something to him, I don’t recall. But it just wasn’t a big deal at that time. It was water under the bridge.
