One half of the Lucha Brothers and recent AEW signee Ray Fenix suffered what could potentially be a significant injury during a match at an AAW show in Texas last night.
Fenix was injured when he landed badly while attempting a springboard cutter. He immediately grabbed his head after the move and the match was wrapped up quickly when Penta pinned AR Fox.
After the match, Fenix was stretchered to the back. There isn’t yet an update on his condition.
If the injury is serious enough for Fenix to miss significant time, it couldn’t have come at a worse time for him. After the “Double or Nothing” rally, it looks like the wheels were being set in motion for him to be involved in his most high profile match yet – teaming with Pentagon Jr. against The Young Bucks. In addition, it was just announced that he and Pentagon would be teaming up to take on Sabu and Rob Van Dam at IMPACT’s “United We Stand” on April 4th.
