IMPACT News and Notes: How Well They Drew In Mexico City, Bound For Glory Match, AAA Talent and more

-IMPACT Wrestling’s stint in Mexico City last weekend for television tapings did not draw particularly well, especially since they ran a show the same night as a CMLL event, which had a reported 13,000 in attendance.

-At those tapings, Michael Elgin challenged Japanese star Naomichi Marufuji to a match at the October 20th Bound For Glory pay per view in Chicago. Also scheduled for that show is lucha legend Dr. Wagner Jr. Expect more AAA stars to be announced as well.

-According to El Planchitas in Mexico, LAX’s Ortiz was nearly arrested for drinking in public following the Mexico City tapings. Konnan and other IMPACT officials were able to defuse the situation, and all is fine.

-Rascalz member Zachary Wentz got engaged to former NXT star Kimber Lee (Abby Laith). The two have been seeing each other for a while.
