Indie wrestler Mike Parrow, best known for his work in MLW, WXW, and ACW, released a statement on Twitter yesterday in response to a slew of homophobic tweets that he saw on his newsfeed. Parrow, who came out as gay in 2017 after attempting conversion therapy, expresses the importance of fighting for equality, and being who you are.
I’m
#proud to be a openly#Gay athlete I’m posting this because of all the homophobic tweets I’ve seen the past couple days in sports.I did not choose to be#Gay however I did choose to live my life proud of who I am. As wrestlers we all fight for something I fight for#equality
See Parrow’s statement below.
