Injury Updates On Hiromu Takahashi and Katsuyori Shibata

-According to the Wrestling Observer, Katsuyori Shibata’s angle from the G1 final with KENTA was a one-time spot, as Shibata has not been, nor may never be, cleared to wrestle due to the damage he suffered from his classic showdown with Kazuchika Okada from Sakura Genesis 2017. Reports are that wrestlers were instructed not to come anywhere near his head during their assault on Shibata following KENTA’s betrayal and joining of the Bullet Club.

-Meanwhile, former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Hiromu Takahashi is nearing a return. The reported plan from Gedo is to weave Takahashi into an intriguing storyline so his return has an impact. He’s been out of action since 2018 after sustaining a brutal neck injury at the hands of Dragon Lee at the G1 Special from San Francisco.

Stay tuned.
