Recent TNA signee Josh Alexander was a recent guest on IMPACT’s Press Pass Podcast. During the appearance, he discussed building his reputation in Canada and why he believes now is the right time for him to expand his platform. Here are the highlights:
On Building His Reputation In Canada:
My border problems as well happened after my neck injury, so I really haven’t been to [the United States]. When I stopped going to America, I started concentrating on making Canada—we have so many good professional wrestlers up here, but there’s not a lot of eyes on us—other than the Twitch shows or One Night Only with Destiny [Wrestling], a lot of the guys can’t get their names out there. I really wanted to try and get eyes on Canada.
On Not Being Intimidated By The Larger Audience & Wanting To Build His Brand:
As for me starting with a company and getting this big amount of exposure, if it happened five years ago, I might be a little more hesitant, maybe a little bit nervous and reserved. I feel like I’m ready; I’ve worked with tons of guys, some of the most talented wrestlers in the world. I’ve been in the ring with them, and I know that I can go toe-to-toe with any of them. Now stepping into IMPACT, I feel like I’m more ready than I’ve ever been.
