MLW Hires Lucha Underground Co-Creator As Executive Producer

According to Sports Illustrated, Major League Wrestling has hired Chris DeJoseph as an Executive Producer. DeJoseph was the co-creator of Lucha Underground, which ran from 2014-2018 on the El Rey Network, as well as a former writer for WWE. In an interview with SI’s Justin Barrasso, DeJoseph states that he’s had an itch to return to pro-wresting, and is excited about the prospect of working with MLW.

Since the last season of Lucha Underground, I’ve had an itch to get back in the game. I’ve been watching what they’ve been doing and the steps they are taking to keep building, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with MLW.

Confirmed by company CEO Court Bauer, DeJoseph will begin his new venture at the first MLW pay per view, Saturday Night SuperFight, this weekend.
