NJPW’s G1 Climax 2020 Will Move To The Fall Due To The Olympics

According to the Wrestling Observer, next year’s G1 Climax will shift from the summer to the fall due to the 2020 Olympics being held in Japan. Reports are that most of the key arenas used by NJPW for their annual tournament would be utilized for the games and be unavailable.

This year’s G1 Climax was won by Kota Ibushi, who defeated Bullet Club leader Jay White in the finals, and will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight championship in the main event of NJPW’s biggest show, WrestleKingdom.
