NWA Faces Backlash After Jim Cornette’s Racist Remarks On Today’s Powerrr, VP David Lagana Apologizes

On the latest episode of NWA’s weekly episodic Powerrr, world champion Nick Aldis opened the show in a matchup against Trevor Murdoch when color-commentator Jim Cornette made a racially insensitive comment, where he joked about Murdoch traveling through Ethiopia with fried chicken on his back. The phrase caused a huge backlash from NWA fans on social media, prompting Vice President David Lagana to issue an apology, and pull the episode from Youtube. Lagana writes:

On tonight’s episode of NWA Powerr airing on November 19th 2019, one of our talents made comments which some viewers found offensive. We deeply regret the error and apologize. We have temporarily taken the program down while we correct this error.
