In a new interview with Fightful, Ring of Honor star Pierre Carl Ouellet, better known as PCO, opens up about his return to professional wrestling, and the heavy ambitions that got him there. PCO says that his main goal was to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania, which led him to being in one of the featured matches on the recent G1 Supercard, the first non-WWE wrestling event to run Madison Square Garden in over 60 years.
If I didn’t think I was going to make it in a big time event, I wouldn’t have came back. No other reason than that. After ALL IN I was at Starrcast. Caprice Coleman spoke with me, and I was with Bubba on a show. He asked what my goal was. I said I wanted to (face) The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Well I’m not against the Undertaker at WrestleMania, and people may have thought it was funny last year. But now I’m in one of the main events at MSG as a part of the biggest faction in wrestling today. It’s been 60 years that the McMahons ran the Garden and nobody else did. It’s a part of the journey. I wanted to Impact the business and I’ve done that!
PCO and partner Brody King came up short at MSG, losing a fatal-four way tag bout to NJPW’s Guerrillas of Destiny. He is the only man to have ever competed for the WWE, IWGP, NWA, and ROH tag team titles. Full interview is below.
