The Revival finally picked up a win on The Usos during this week’s RAW episode, but it’s possible that this wasn’t a case of WWE really giving a push to Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.
Sunday’s Money in the Bank PPV saw The Usos defeat SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rowan and Daniel Bryan in a non-title match on the pre-show. Dave Meltzer stated on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio episode that the typical WWE logic that fans have come to loathe may have come into play with the RAW win for The Revival on Monday.
“Since the Usos beat the SmackDown Tag Team Champions they can lose now even though they’re going for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Because it’s 50/50 so since they won the bigger one they can lose the smaller one. So that’s the way they book which to me is like so completely counterproductive,” Meltzer said.
On a related note, Meltzer also speculated on WWE continuing to embarass The Revival. A backstage segment on RAW saw The Revival continue their post-match celebration, bumping into Alexa Bliss. Bliss wiped the sweat off and seemed disgusted by them. This could be seen as the hot girl being repulsed by The Revival, despite their success.
