ROH Announces Injury to Mark Briscoe, Jay Briscoe Comments, Mark Pulled from Tournament

Ring of Honor has announced that Mark Briscoe is currently dealing with a knee injury, which occurred at a live event last weekend.

There’s no word yet on how long Briscoe will be out of action, but he’s scheduled to undergo an MRI.

Because of the injury, Briscoe has been pulled from CMLL’s Grand Prix tournament this Friday. Delirious will be replacing Briscoe on Team Resto del Mundo (rest of the world), which also includes ROH World Champion Matt Taven, brother Jay Briscoe, Luke Hawx, Big Daddy, Oraculo, Mecha Wolf 450 and Kenny King. Team Resto del Mundo is set to face Team Mexico in a 16-man elimination match.

“It sucks that he’s hurt,” brother Jay said of the injury at CMLL’s Grand Prix press conference on Wednesday. “We do double-team moves like no other tag team in this world, so that was definitely going to be a blow to the Mexican team, but it ain’t going to matter. We still gonna win.”
