WWE had a couple of best of three falls matches last week on television. Bryan Alvarez reported on this morning’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that there was a meeting last week and Vince decided there will be no more wrestling during commercial breaks.
Bryan Alvarez: You know why they’re doing best of three falls? Apparently there was a meeting last week. Vince told everybody there’s no more wrestling during commercial breaks. Apparently you can have a match that goes through a break but there can’t be wrestling during the break. So therefor you have to have multi fall matches or different things like that. Thats why we had those random best of three fall matches on TV on Monday and Tuesday.
The reason I bring that up is that this sounds like a damn nightmare for the live audience. You have to sit there during all the breaks now. There can’t be wrestling during the break.
Meltzer said, “This makes sense. They will take natural breaks during the commercials. I will check on that. That is interesting.”
