SPOILERS: MLW Fightland From Chicago

Major League Wrestling

Last night Major League Wrestling invaded Cicero Stadium in Chicago, IL (technically Cicero Illinois but who’s really gonna argue?) for their next round of tapings. Below are the results from the event.

Ricky Martinez defeats Dr. Rex Baccuss

Puma King defeats MJF in a flag match. (Crowd was 100% behind Puma. Prior to the match MJF taunted the latino fans by saying that he was the “wall” that was going to keep all the illegals out.)

Marko Stunt defeats El Gringo Loco

Simon Gotch defeats Ariel Dominguez in a $10,000 Open Challenge match

Myron Reed defeats Ace Austin

Joey Ryan & Swoggle defeat the Dirty Blondes (Joey Ryan had his arm in a sling during the entirety of the bout, and revealed post-match that he tore his pectoral muscle at an event last night in Austin, Texas. He joked, saying that the injury “was going around a lot.”)

Kotto Brazil defeats Trey Miguel

Tommy Dreamer defeats Brian Pillman Jr. (Afterwards Dreamer showed the newcomer a sign of respect by holding his arm up, but Pillman attacked dreamer. Teddy Hart would come out later to join in the beatdown of Dreamer.)

Ace Romero defeats Marko Stunt

Tom Lawlor defeats Sami Callihan in a Chicago Street Fight (Brutal match that saw Sami slam a train spike into Lawlor’s mouth. Lawlor would get the win with a rear-naked choke.)

Teddy Hart defeats Jason Cade (Brian Pillman Jr. accompanied Hart during the bout)

Rush defeats Sammy Guevara (This was Rush’s MLW debut. Crowd was going nuts for him.)

PCO defeats Brody King in a NO DQ match

Low Ki defeats Shane Strickland to retain the MLW heavyweight championship (Afterwards Shane cut a promo on the fans saying that he’s worked his ass off for them and it’s gotten him nowhere. He then called out MLW owner Court Bauer for booking these shows horribly. His microphone would eventually be cut-off.)

Lucha Bros (Fenix & Pentagon Jr.) defeat LA Park & Hijo de LA Park to retain the MLW tag team championship. (Fantastic finale. A heavy latino crowd was solely behind Pentagon and Fenix, but gave a great ovation to all competitors when the match concluded.)

This next round of tapings will fill the next four weeks of television. The next round of tapings for MLW takes place in Miami in early December.
