Triple-Threat Tag Bout Announced For G1 Supercard

Ring of Honor issued the following press release regarding a new Women of Honor tripe-threat tag bout being added to the G1 Supercard event at Madison Square Garden.

All roads lead to ROH and New Japan’s G1 Supercard and the last stop on the Road to G1 Supercard is the UMBC Event Center in ROH’s home city of Baltimore! All of your favorite ROH stars will compete in the final stop, the last tune up before descending upon the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden!

With the spotlight on Women of Honor growing brighter as the title is now routinely being defended internationally, new faces are lining up for the opportunity to be part of the fastest-growing Championship division in wrestling! Four women who impressed ROH officials in the last year make their return to Women of Honor in a Triple Threat Tag Team match!

WOMEN OF HONOR TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM MATCH
SUMIE SAKAI & JENNY ROSE vs. KRIS STADTLANDER & TASHA STEELZ vs. GABBY ORTIZ & KARISSA RIVERA

Former Women of Honor World Champion Sumie Sakai teams with her protégé Women of Honor star Jenny Rose to take on the headline-stealing, out-of-this-world Kris Stadtlander and her tough-as-nails, trash-talking partner Tasha Steelz who take on up-and-coming Gabby Ortiz and “Cherokee Warrior” Karissa Rivera in Baltimore!

For Sumie and Jenny, they enter this match as the only established tag team. The first-ever Women of Honor World Champion and her internationally-traveled partner are, on paper, the favorites heading into this match. But perhaps nobody’s stocks have risen more dramatically in the world of wrestling than Kris Stadtlander and Tasha Steelz who enter the Road to G1 Supercard as two individuals who could form a very formidable tag team.

The wild cards in this match are Gabby Ortiz and Karissa Rivera! Gabby spent parts of 2017 on an excursion in Japan with STARDOM and appeared on ROH Television while “The Cherokee Warrior” Karissa Rivera was discovered at a ROH Tryout Camp and will be making her ROH debut. Gabby and Karissa know each other well, breaking into many of the same independent organizations in the New Jersey scene, while Karissa trained with Damian Adams, the same trainer that led Deonna Purrazzo, Karen Q., and Tasha Steelz herself to Women of Honor!
