Two Title Matches Announced For ROH “Death Before Dishonor” In Las Vegas

Ring of Honor issued the following press release announcing two title matches for the September 27th Death Before Dishonor pay per view from the Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. Television champion Shane Taylor will defend the gold in a triple-threat against Flip Gordon and Tracy Williams, while The Briscoes put the tag titles on the line against Mark Haskins and Bandido. Details are below.

The Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view later this month is quickly shaping up to be another can’t-miss Ring of Honor show.

Just signed for the event is a Triple Threat Match for the ROH World Television Title between champion Shane Taylor, “The Mercenary” Flip Gordon of Villain Enterprises and “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams, and an ROH World Tag Team Title Match pitting champions Jay and Mark Briscoe against LifeBlood’s Bandido and Mark Haskins.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the show will be headlined by the undefeated RUSH challenging for the ROH World Title against the winner of the title match at Global Wars Espectacular in Chicago this weekend between current champion Matt Taven and CMLL star Volador Jr.

The Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view takes place on Sept. 27 at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas.

There’s a chance all three members of LifeBlood (Bandido, Haskins and Williams) could win gold that night. Bandido and Haskins earned their title shot at the Briscoes by defeating Villain Enterprises’ Marty Scurll and Brody King in a No. 1 contender’s match two weeks ago at Honor for All in Nashville, Tenn.

As for Williams, this will be his second shot at Taylor’s ROH World Television Title. His first one, which took place at Summer Supercard in Toronto a month ago, was spoiled by Gordon, who unleashed an unprovoked attack on Williams’ shoulder with a kendo stick prior to the match.

Williams fought through the pain and battled valiantly against Taylor, but ultimately came up short. This time, Gordon will actually be in the match, as he looks to win his first championship in ROH.

LifeBlood’s Bandido and Haskins also are entered in the eight-man tournament to determine the challenger for the ROH World Championship at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Dec. 13. In first-round matches at Death Before Dishonor Fallout on Sept. 28 — which also will be held at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas — Bandido faces two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, and Haskins takes on former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle.
