Rey Fenix, one half of the Lucha Brothers tag team, sustained a scary injury at last night’s AAW show in Illinois, and had to be stretchered out. Early reports said that Fenix suffered a stinger, but PW Insider has just given an update stating that Fenix has been diagnosed with a muscle contusion of the neck. He has been released from the hospital. He was scheduled to compete at tonight’s House of Glory event in New York, but has been pulled. No word on whether or not he’ll still appear in a non-wrestling event.
AAW has also tweeted out an update.
UPDATE on @ReyFenixMx – He has been treated and released from the hospital with a muscle contusion. He is feeling good and will be back up to 100% after some rest.
We thank you all for your concern and for making #LUCHACITY such wonderful time!
