WWE & Mojo Rawley Congratulate Rob Gronkowski On Retirement, Jonathan Coachman On Gronk’s WWE Potential

New England Patriots superstar Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons today. Gronkowski is good friends with WWE superstar Mojo Rawley and even had a physical role in his Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal win several years ago. There has long been speculation that Gronkowski could make a transition into the WWE once his NFL career ended.

Both the WWE and Rawley took to social media to congratulate Gronkowski on his career and retirement:

Jonathan Coachman responded to several Twitter users who speculated on the WWE signing Gronk. Coachman believes that a lot would depend on how much Gronk was willing to work as it is difficult to obtain part timer status in the WWE. Additionally, he agreed with a Twitter user who thinks that he needs to be paired with Mojo Rawley immediately. He also dispelled the notion that Gronk hasn’t earned a spot in the WWE. Here are the Tweets from The Coach:

Lastly, it appears that Gronk’s WWE potential is so great that even The Coach and Corey Graves can agree on it:
