In a recent Twitter exchange, Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks responded to a fan asking if they were planning on competing in their first World Tag League since moving up to the heavyweight division. Matt stated that he and his brother Nick were never offered a slot in the tournament, but that they most likely wouldn’t be able to compete anyway due to their hectic schedule. He also strangely called out NJPW for not paying as much as they would like, something they’ve always claimed has never been an issue. See the exchange below.

I think @MattJackson13 and @NickJacksonYB won’t be in it due to the hectic schedule that comes along with it. They probably have other dates but would love them to be in their first WTL, nevertheless.

Truthfully we were never even offered the tour. But yes, it wouldn’t make sense to leave our families for close to 4 weeks during the holidays for many reasons; finances only being one amongst many.

The World Tag League tour is set to run from November 17th through December 9th.
